REVIEW

Lucky Nugget Casino

Lucky Nugget Casino is probably the longest serving online casino I've reviewed to date for Slots Org but alas, as of 2014 it no longer accepts UK residents (the same Microgaming games are available at the Hippodrome Casino, Roxy Palace Casino and 32Red Casino for UK players looking for somewhere to play).

Lucky Nugget has been around since the early days of online casinos (1998 I think - only The Gaming Club and Intercasino claim to be longer in the tooth). The casino is part of a group called Digimedia which also owns Jackpot City Casino. These are now licenced in Malta - previously in Gibraltar - 2 of the more player friendly jurisdictions, and of course Malta is in the EU.

If you like your Microgaming games like Thunderstruck II and Immortal Romance, then this casino is one of the main players in the Microgaming "family" with a very similar offering to places like 32Red Casino and Roxy Palace Casino among others. If you are a slots player specifically and like a bit more variety, then you'll need to look at options like BetVictor or Sky Vegas as Lucky Nugget casino doesn't offer anything other than Microgaming slots. That said, when the new Microgaming games come out, Lucky Nugget is generally the first to get them.

There's supposedly a default 24 hour reverse pending period although some players have reported recenty this can be extended to 48hrs which means whichever way, you'll generally get your winnings sent out in 48 hours or so (including the weekend)- all pretty standard and it could be improved by adding the flushing facility in my opinion but while it's not the best casino in this regard, it's far from the worst and other aspects go some way to balancing this facet, not least the addition of a Slots Tournaments module with regualr freerolls.

Where Lucky Nugget stands out, and why they are listed here, is that they are pretty good at looking after their regular players and you'll find that you'll get some pretty enticing offers by email if you are a regular player (free spins and enhanced match bonuses). They like slots players, basically (don't all the casinos?). The support is average, I would say. I have experienced better, but you will get a timely response.

Lucky Nugget Casino has been around for a long time, and they have managed to keep a pretty solid reputation going for that time, so I don't see them risking that - a safe bet. They offer a 150% match up to £200 extra or a £1000 high roller bonus (100% match) if you are a high stakes player. The play through requirement on the free money is 50x (bonus only). One slight annoyance we find, is that this information is buried deep in the T's and C's in "legalese" rather than being clearly stated
