Air-dropped £ 10,000 for one lucky Liverpudlian

Sky Vegas has launched a new promotion to publicise its offers on the Grand National horserace which takes place this Saturday, giving Liverpool residents an opportunity to win a "golden ticket" that could be worth £ 10,000.

Why Liverpool? Well, according to a Sky Vegas press release it's the luckiest city in Britain.

The ticket, which has already been dropped over Liverpool by a drone, guarantees the equivalent pay-out of a £ 50 bet on the winning horse at the Grand National, meaning that if current long-shot Tour Des Champs or any other 200-1 runner takes the title, the finder of the 'golden ticket' will win £ 10,000.

For the ticket to be valid, it must be found and presented before the race takes place.

The ticket's whereabouts is being tracked by GPS technology and Sky Vegas has confirmed that it has landed in a secret location in the Liverpool area.

"Liverpool was recently named the UK's luckiest city, with 35% of residents claiming to have had luck on their side in the past and 57% of people in the city believing they are luckier than most," the Sky Vegas statement explains.

The stunt is in support of the Sky Vegas Millions campaign, in which the company is giving away over £ 3 Million in cash over a three month period, as players earn tickets as they play and are then entered into daily and weekly cash draws. Every day players could win a £10,000 top prize, with a weekly £ 25,000 Golden Jackpot.

Clues to the ticket's whereabouts are being shared on SkyVegas' social channels @SkyVegas.
