Rainbow Riches Slot
Rainbow Riches Slot RTP: 95.0%
The online version of the Rainbow Riches slot machine is pretty much identical to the land-based version you see in UK casinos and bookie shops although there is actually a second version knocking around online dubbed "Rainbow Riches Winbig Shindig".
Rainbow Riches is a Barcrest machine and with Barcrest now being owned by IGT of course, it's largely found at online casinos using the IGT platform such as IGT's very own Kerching casino and one of my own favourites, Virgin casino.
For those that know their slots then Rainbow Riches will need little introduction. Like the Elvis Top 20 slot it has that middle-ground feel between a traditional UK fruit machine and the slots of Vegas which are now taking over from slots like Cleopatra and Pharaohs Fortune for example which rely heavily on free spins for their kicks.
Rainbow Riches doesn't have a free spins bonus but it does have three seperate bonus rounds, two of which can be fairly lucrative given some luck. The least appealing bonus (to me, anyway!) is the Wishing Well bonus. Three wishing well scatters anywhere gives you the option to pick one and get an award, typically I find between 2x and 12x your bet but it can be higher.
The "Pots Of Gold" bonus is triggered by getting the Pot Of Gold symbol on reels 2, 3 and 4, a trigger concept also found in other IGT slots like Kitty Glitter and Star Trek. This then reveals a leprechaun who spins a number of pots and makes an award between 50x and 250x your total bet. That's more like it!
The third and final bonus is the Path To Riches bonus. This is where you notice that the online version of Rainbow Riches has a higher RTP (expected return to player) than the land based version. The path is a series of multipliers and where the land-based version starts at x1, the online version starts at x8. The top award - if you make it - is 200x.
