The very, very popular Thunderstruck slot also happens to be my favourite slot machine ever. Although the theme is very different (Thunderstruck will probably appeal to online gamers like myself who used to run around the Quake and Unreal Tournament killing fields!) it bears similarities in gameplay to IGT's successfull Cleopatra slot in that it has a free spins bonus which awards 15 spins at 3x and retriggers. The main difference however is that it is easier in the Thunderstruck slot to win without the feature whereas in cleopatra that is a tough ask.
As you'd expect there are wild symbols (Thor) and scatters, the latter triggering the free spins when 3 or more appear in view. I've nevr had 5 Wilds but I have had 5 scatters on several occasions for a 500x return and once even got them during the free spins for a tidy 5-figure payout! Probably part of the reason I love this game so much.
It's made by Microgaming who are easily the most prolofic dedicated online slots software house and Thudenderstruck aside they make some excellent games. Being so prolofic they also make some duds but games like Thunderstruck, Thunderstruck II, Hitman and more recently, the Playboy game are top slots. Thunderstruck aside, I especially like Thunderstruck II whichj is a totally different game but very entertaining and has no less than 4 free spin features and random wild reels.
